In the summer of 2001 both Mark and Maurie moved to Texas. Maurie, a Texas native, was returning home from grad school at Clemson. Mark, a Midwestern SIU graduate, wanted the sunshine of the south and a change of pace. They met in an HR meeting at an architecture firm, having both started that very same day. They worked together, fell in love, and eventually were married. Later Mark branched off to start his own architecture design firm. A couple of years and a couple of kids later Maurie decided to team up with Mark's firm full-time. The Gray partnership was formed and M-Gray Architecture was born.

M-Gray Architecture works on a wide range of projects of varying scope and style throughout Dallas/Fort Worth and beyond.
