like our business, our story is close to our hearts
In the summer of 2001 both Mark and Maurie moved to Texas. Maurie, a Texas native, was returning home from grad school at Clemson. Mark, a Southern Illinois University architecture graduate, wanted the sunshine of the south and a change of pace. They met in an HR meeting at a local architecture firm, having both started that very same day. They worked together, fell in love, and eventually were married. Soon after, Mark branched off to start his own architecture design firm. A couple of years and a couple of kids later, Maurie decided to team up with Mark’s firm full-time, and together they formed the Gray partnership, appropriately titled, M-Gray Architecture. In their firm, Mark and Maurie began with a common interest, to design a wide range of projects of varying scope and style throughout Dallas/Fort Worth, and beyond. To this day, the same holds true, M-Gray Architecture’s reputation and diverse, award-winning, portfolio speak for themselves.
